Custom Cooling System
The demands of Pikes Peak with the low air density and high elevation gain require significant upgrades to the cooling systems especially when dealing with a Turbo'd system.

Here are all the modifications done to the car:
-
Water Cooling
-
Increased core density and heat exchanger size with shallower angle in left hand side pod
-
Added External Bosch Water Pump
-
Water Temp Levels off at 210F
-
-
Oil Cooling
-
Added PWR 21 plate Water to Oil Cooler
-
Added secondary Air to Oil Cooler for even more efficiency
-
Re-routed Oil lines away from hot spots in engine bay
-
Oil Temp Levels off at 230F
-
-
Intercooler Cooling
-
Custom double pass Water-to-Air Cooler on Intake
-
Increased core density and heat exchanger size with shallower angle in right hand side pod
-
Added External Bosch Water Pump
-
Air Intake Temps levels off at 120F
-
Custom Aero Design
Much like cooling, Aerodynamics is a crucial part in modifications needed to adapt to conditions encountered at Pikes Peak. Plus, the rule set is much more wide open allowing for innovative solutions. With drag being a lower penalty due to the low air density, what is commonly seen around Pikes Peak is very BIG WINGS!

First step in any proper design is to create a 3d model of the car so a good baseline of downforce, drag, and vortices can be determined. From there, different simulated modifications are conducted to iteratively improve upon Aero metrics to give the best design possible. Some limitations do exists such as ride height due to the top section bumps or rule book requirements such as Open Wheels Body work cannot extend wider than the tires and also no fenders above the tires.

Here are the modifications we have done to the car:
-
Custom down-planes on front from TSC
-
Bigger Rear Wing side plates
-
Bigger Diffuser from Ligier JS53 Evo2
-
Added Gurney flaps for both Front and Rear wing
-
Drag Reduction System (DRS) for rear wing
-
Drops at 100% throttle and low lateral G-forces giving reduced aero drag in straights
-
-
For 2025, we modified the car to fit in the Open Wheel Category Rule set
-
Opened up Front Fenders above front tires and removed pods right behind tires
-
Opened up Rear Clam-shell above Rear tires and extended opening to rear of car
-
-
For 2026, we intend to continue developing and improving Aero characteristics
-
New Front Wing
-
New Rear Wing
-
Side skirts alongside Side pod floor boards
